| D. R.
Edwards, who is of counsel to the firm, is a 1974 magna cum laude
graduate of West Virginia University, where she received a Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree. She received her M.A. from West Virginia University
in 1976 and her law degree from Northwestern University School of
Law in 1985. While at Northwestern, she received the Best Speaker
Award and Lowden-Wigmore Prize in the Julius Minor Moot Court |

Competition. Upon graduation from Northwestern,
D. R. joined Latham & Watkins, where she worked principally on commercial
and construction litigation matters. In 1992, D. R. joined the City of Chicago’s
Department of Law as Senior Supervising Attorney with responsibilities in
the areas of construction disputes, government contract claims, and insurance
coverage issues. In 1995, she became the City of Chicago's Deputy Purchasing
Agent responsible for government contract issues. In 1997, she joined GoodSmith
Gregg & Unruh, where her practice centers on municipal contracting,
commercial litigation, government and commercial contract issues, and general
business matters.
