David Neville is a transactional real estate attorney with broad and diverse experience encompassing all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
David represents buyers, sellers, borrowers and lenders throughout the United States in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of complex commercial real estate transactions, including those in connection with private equity and M&A transactions, health care transactions and retail developments. He has extensive commercial leasing experience representing both landlords and tenants in office, health care, retail, manufacturing, warehousing, and industrial leasing transactions. David also represents family offices and high-net-worth individuals in a wide range of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including strategic inter-family and estate planning transfers and gift transactions.
Before joining GGU, David practiced at McDermott Will & Emery LLP for 13 years, serving as a real estate partner for 10 years. Prior to his time at McDermott, David practiced at Aronberg Goldghen Davis & Garmisa, and Neal Gerber & Eisenberg.
David received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2005. While in law school, David was an associate editor of the University of Illinois Law Review, co-president of the College of Law’s Public Interest Law Foundation, and a contributor to the College of Law’s Prisoners’ Rights Research Project. David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000, where he was elected to Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honors Society. Prior to attending law school, David was a staff photojournalist for a newspaper in the San Francisco Bay area.
